Welcome To Monitoring (South) Organization, Bangalore

Monitoring (South) Orgnisation, Bengaluru was set up in April 1995 as part of the regionalisation of the working of Central Water Commission (CWC) wherein 13 Regional Offices were set up in various regions of the country. Till April 2018, the Monitoring (South) organization did not have any jurisdiction related to Hydrological Observation & Flood Forecasting and thus there was no division or circle office in the organization.

Vide CWC letter No F. No. K-12012/1/2018-WPC/611-664 dated 13.04.2018 re-organisation of CWC field organizations has been done. Accordingly erstwhile Superintending Engineer (co-ordination) has been designated as Superintending Engineer (HO&CC). Cauvery Division, CWC, Bengaluru started functioning under MSO with effect from 13.04.2018 with four sub-divisions namely Upper Cauvery Sub Division, Bengaluru; Upper Tunga Bhadra Sub Division, Davangere ; Middle Krishna Sub division - I Bagalkot ; South Western Sub Division IV Ponda, Goa. 

The Monitoring (South) Organisation is headed by a Chief Engineer and associated with three Directors level officers designated as Director (Monitoring), Director (Appraisal) and Superintending Engineer (Hydrological Observation &Coordination Circle).
